Sherrie-Mae has been an educator for the past 18 years, and currently lives in Ottawa, Ontario. She has won several awards for her leadership and coaching abilities. Sherrie-Mae has taught everygrade from JK – 8 and is now a Vice-Principal. She is considered to be a back to school specialist as she has been going back to school for 38 years. She also has three school aged children ranging in age from 6 – 12 years of age.
Sherrie-Mae loves to play many different sports but her true love is hockey. She began playing with her father at a young age, played during university and on a competitive Senior Women’s team in Ottawa in early the early 2000’s. Now, she shares her love of hockey by coaching, playing road hockey, being a loyal Ottawa Senator’s fan playing shiney whenever she has the opportunity.
She has a very active family of 5, including: a swimmer; a gymnast; a soccer player; cheerleader and two hockey players. Sherrie-Mae is a firm believer in the positive results of physical literacy and is the Lead Role Model Active for Life. She currates articles and faciliates the Role Model program.
She and her family and enjoy reviewing travel destinations using their #GuthrieFamilyAdventures hashtag, testing products, taking in events & experiences and giving their honest reviews to friends, followers and communities. Sherrie-Mae is located in Ottawa but often travels to Toronto and Montreal for events and adventures.
