Well before the time that my three bundles of joy arrived I had accumulated the collected works of Beatrix Potter. The entire set of Peter Rabbit books were ready to be read as I snuggled my three little ones. Needless to say now, 11 years later, the collection is somewhat dog eared by still just as loved as when I bought the books into our empty nest.
It is special shopping events at Baby Gap this weekend that make me want to have another baby to outfit in this limited edition line of Peter Rabbit.
This Saturday Jan. 26, Peter Rabbit fans are invited to join Gap at select locations for a reading of Emma Thompson’s sequel, The Further Tale of Peter Rabbit, from Toronto’s leading personalities such as Cityline’s Tracy Moore, bunny-themed crafts, treats and more.
Events celebrate babyGap’s limited edition collection inspired by the classic children’s tale. Guests who bring a children’s book donation for Boys and Girls Club of Canada will also receive a copy of the sequel as a gift with purchase, while supplies last.*
You’re Invited to attend special events at the following Gap stores this Saturday, Jan. 26, 11 a.m. to noon:
- Gap Toronto Eaton Centre: Tracy Moore, Cityline
- Square One Shopping Centre: Peter Rabbit on site to mingle with kids; reading from Brandy Mercredi of www.Heartandhabit.com
- Gap Yorkdale: Ceri Marsh, http://www.sweetpotatochronicles.com/wordpress/
Drawing from Potter’s mischievous characters and magical adventures, the babyGap collection, in stores and online now (www.gapcanada.ca), brings to life a modern interpretation of the enchanting world of Peter Rabbit through imaginative gifts for girls and boys from newborn to 24 months.
