Celebrating Easter with Kinder Eggs Canada!

This weekend is our traditional egg decoration egg-stravaganza! Each year we invite friends over for snacks, fun and a little colourful fun. This year will be extra special because Kinder Egg Canada send a basket full of Easter treats and an egg decorating kit.

Being 4 years old is hard and Beckett has already claimed the large egg after winning a wrestling contest vs his 7 year old sister. After the long fought battle Andie chose this as her own:

KT decided she wanted to keep the egg decorating kit closed until the weekend when our friends come over. DH decided he needed to check out the mini Kinder eggs while the cat thought the basket was a good place to take a nap. Yep, the entire family got into the Kinder spirit this month. Thanks again Kinder Canada, I will post pictures of the decorated eggs once they are finished!

Kinder Egg and the beloved Easter bunny Harry are touring Canada! Keep your eyes peeled, Harry will be making surprise appearances at family events in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary & Vancouver this March to celebrate Easter and spread the joy with FREE samples of Kinder® Mini eggs. Stay up to date on where Harry will be by checking the Kinder® Canada Facebook page!

OK spill the beans…what tips and tricks to you have for decorating Easter Eggs? What makes this process easier or less messy ? We have 5 kids coming to decorate eggs this weekend any suggestions welcome!

  1. My middle child is unable to come home for Easter this year (university)so we sent her a care package, and in it, an egg decorating kit that is really meant for young ones. She loved it! Memories of childhood.

When the kids were young I did buy some kits but generally we used spices to colour our eggs. I still use onion skins, a trick my mom taught me, for the hard boiled eggs on Easter Sunday.
