Less than a week ago I received my Roma boots. I couldn’t resist the bold, bright red of the OPINCA CLARET which is a Sadie Roberts lace-up original design. With the rainy Ottawa weather, theses boots have come in handy in the yard, at home in the garden and while opening up the cottage.
My new red rain boot blends fashion and durability into all-weather footwear, with a dash of philanthropy on the side. For every pair of Roma boots sold, a brand new pair is donated to a child living in poverty. The boots are made from natural rubber and a quick dry knitted cotton lining, they are also vegan and eco-friendly.
When I was asked to participate in this campaign I did some research about the Roma Foundation:
“Roma Foundation invests in the lives of children by giving poverty the boot. By closely working with our partners, we have donated boots in 25 countries across 5 continents. Our goal is to serve children living in poverty in order to provide them with the necessary skills to overcome this barrier. Through our educational initiatives, we believe that we are creating a culture of empowerment.”
Everything I read about Roma, made me happy to part of such a positive campaign. You can the video below to give you a global perspective of the good work Roma does worldwide.
You can join me at next week to “Celebrate Spring” with Roma at the #GivingPovertyTheBoot Twitter Party and win your own pair!
