Guthrie Family Firsts with First Cheerios
Katie’s first Cheerios
First steps, first words, first foods it truly is all about firsts when you have your first baby. Ten years ago when my oldest daughter was born, I had no idea how tired I would be or how in love with her I would fall.
Katie was my mini-me from day one, her smile, hair, even chubby body shape was identical to mine. We spent everyday together and snuggled each night. I don’t think she spent a night away from me until two years later when her sister AndiePandie arrived.
Our first book we read together was Barnyard Dance and to this day we can recite it word for word. Katie’s first foods were very colourful. She loved anything orange, but disliked anything green. She was very independent and a little stubborn like me. Katie wanted to eat things on her own with no help from mom. Cheerios was a natural fit for her there were small, easy to chew and the dogs loved cleaning up the leftovers after snack time.
AndiePandie’s first gymnastics class
AndiePandie moved fast from day one, I hardly have any of her firsts like I do for Katie. But, I do have her first gymnastic class picture. My Panda is truly happiest when she is in motion.
Cheerios is dedicated to celebrating First Cheerios moments for little ones across Canada including the ones I have shared with my three little ones. Take a moment to join General Mills on their Life Made Delicious Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/LifeMadeDelicious, and share a photo showcasing your little one’s first Cheerios moment. Then, throughout the yearly campaign, watch as photos of Canadian little ones showing-off their first Cheerios moments collectively celebrate a community of happy babies and proud parents.
The first time Beckett fell asleep at school
Beckett is just a happy baby…of course I mean happy little boy. This is Beckett’s first unscheduled nap at school.
Something special for my readers the first 1,000 participants will receive a coupon for a FREE box of yummy Cheerios, with a $1.00 off coupon for everyone after the first thousand who submit a photo! What I think is very cool is that you could see your baby on a box of Cheerios! Watch the shelves in Spring 2013, when General Mill’s will be unveiling the completed mosaic on limited-edition family-sized (400g) boxes of Cheerios ! Just to be fair there is a limit of one (1) Free Box of Cheerios coupon per household, and one (1) $1.00 Off Coupon per household per calendar year.
If you want to join in the conversation on twitter use the hashtag #FirstCheerios and following along with all of our first moments.
